For the treatment of infections caused by doxycycline susceptible organisms in dogs and cats including skin infections, such as pyoderma, folliculitis, respiratory infections, genitourinary infections, otitis externa and otitis media, osteomyelitis and puerperal infections.

DOXYVET has activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Susceptible bacteria may include: Staphyloccus spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria spp., Bacteroides spp., Bordetella spp. and Klebsiella spp.

Also active against Rickettsia spp., Chlamydia spp., and Mycoplasma spp.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Not to be used in newborn animals or during last third of pregnancy.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Give a dose of 1 tablet per 10Kg (22 lb) body weight, then 1/2 tablet per 10Kg (22 lb) every 12 hours for two doses, then a maintenance dose of 1/2 tab per 10Kg every 24 hours. Give with or following feeding. Continue therapy for 48 hours after symptoms have subsided.

Suggested length of treatment in Chronic Skin Disease 10 to 20 days, Chronic Cystitis 10 to 28 days, Respiratory Disease 8 to 10 days.
